We have an arrival date!

Hi!
Last night, I received an arrival date from the printer! The books seemingly left on 12/2, and are set to arrive on 12/20! Then, the books should take about one week to get through customs, so I expect them to be delivered the week of 12/28.
Assuming that, I expect to get these books out the week of 1/4/21. I have a Kickstarter I'm planning to launch on either 1/5 or 1/12, and I REALLY want to get these books out before then. However, right now it's out of my hands.
We are very much on schedule right now. I have bought all of the materials for packing, and bought postage as well, so I'm raring to go when these books get here.

My friends over at Stranger Comics have a really cool comic going right now called Ruining Christmas. They asked me to work with them on both a variant cover AND a backup story, and I'm proud to say that they made a really cool variant called Ruining Russell!

On top of that, I've written an eight-page story starring Gimble and Kuz (the two main characters from the book) where they team up with Ichabod to fight Cthulhu! It's a really fun story that I love so much. We've already passed the stretch goal to unlock the story, and so you can get IT, the variant, AND one of the standard covers of the book for $32, or as an add-on for $25.
On top of that, EVERYONE who gets the variant either through the pledge level OR through the add-on will get a FREE copy of Niobe She is Life #1. I love their Asunda universe so much.

Last payment sent to the printer!

Hi!
Just wanted to let you know that I just came back from the bank where I sent the final payment to the printer for these books. So, assuming I didn't send it to the wrong account or something, we're nearly the end game now.
I'm expecting the mass production samples by Friday, and if nothing is wrong with them then the books should be off to the port soon.
Then, then have to:
-Pass Chinese customs (if they get stopped it might add a month to fulfillment)
-Cross the see (3-4 weeks)
-Pass US customs (if stopped here it could add 1-2 weeks to fulfillment).
Right now, if all goes flawlessly, I am hoping to get the books by the first week in January, and then ship them out ASAP after that, which should mean you will have these books JUST in time for my next Kickstarter to launch at the beginning of January.
Obviously, everything is up in the air until the books are literally in your hands, but we're in good shape right now.
I will update you when I go over the mass production proof, which I'm currently slated to get on Friday.

Backerkit surveys are out!

The Backerkit surveys have been sent. Even though the books won't be here for another couple months, I wanted to get all the digital rewards out there for everyone.
Once you fill out your survey it should give you a link to download your digital rewards.
First, this email will not come from me, or from Kickstarter, but from Backerkit. The subject should be something like:
Response Needed -- Get your reward for Cthulhu is Hard to Spell: Two Lovecraft comic anthologies
The #1 question I always get is how to download digital files, so here is a walkthrough for how to download digital files on Backerkit, with pictures.
STEP 1: Log into your email and find your survey confirmation. If you type in survey confirmation Backerkit Russell or survey confirmation Cthulhu, you should be able to find it.
STEP 2: Scroll down.
STEP 3: At the bottom, there is a unique link to get back to your survey. Click it.
STEP 4: That link will take you to your survey. Once you finish your survey you will be taken to your survey confirmation page.
If you have ALREADY filled out the survey, then you can use the same link to get to your digital rewards.
(FYI: If you need to change your address, you can do it here.)
Once you get to that page, then click the link for digital rewards.
STEP 5: BOOM! There they are.

We're still in good shape for our January timetable, if not a couple of days early.
I'll let you know when the books are in warehouse and give a final "GO CHANCE YOUR ADDRESS NOW" email to you before I ship.
If you got digital-only rewards, then ALL of your rewards have already been fulfilled.
